Islamabad Politics Report/Moazzam Raza Tabassam: The chairman Bilawal Bhutto on Monday said that if PPP can give an identity to the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, it can also create a new province.
“We don’t have only political relations but a relation of mutual respect with the people of South Punjab,” he said.
Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said on Monday that there is a need to create South Punjab province in the country.
Addressing a rally at Bahawalpur bypass, he said that the party has always raised its voice for the creation of South Punjab province.
“We have a pro-farmer manifesto. I am fighting for employment, free education and health. People have always supported PPP. The blood of our party workers nourished democracy in the country,” the PPP leader added.
Earlier, Chairman Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) was stopped by Multan’s district management on Monday to address rallies. “We took permission from the relevant authorities for all our rallies. Trying to stop Chairman PPP from holding rallies in Punjab clearly shows some forces are scared of PPP’s success,” said Senator Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar, Spokesman to Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari.
“Creating hurdles, whether in the way of stone-pelters in Lyari, Punjab Police in Uch Sharif and district management in Multan will not stop us from campaigning and taking our mission forward. We are not afraid of such trouble-makers; the PPP is used to these dirty tricks,” said Chairman Bilawal Bhutto.
Senator Khokhar said by trying to harass us in such haphazard manner, the PPP’s opponents are clearly displaying their frustration. “By doing this, they are only boosting our morale because we know how much they fear our success and strength,” said Senator Khokhar.
Chairman PPP will reach Lahore Monday night. He will attend a party meeting the next day, which has been convened to discuss the current political situation. He will then continue with his campaign trail with public gatherings scheduled in Peshawar, Malakand and other parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari visited Shujaabad town and addressed several thousand people who greeted him in this town during his nation-wide election campaign on Monday. Former prime minister Yousuf Raza Gilani and other party leaders were also present.
