PIA’s female pilots make history on Benazir’s birthday

Islamabad Politics Report: For the first time in history, PIA’s flight from Islamabad to Gilgit and back to Islamabad was led by both females, Captain Maryam Masood and First Officer Shumaila Mazhar.

PIA female pilots made this historic record on the ave of 65th birthday celebrations of Martyre former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto and widely appricated on social media generally.

Gilgat route is considered one of the most challenging in Pakistan as it passes through narrow valleys surrounded by high snowcapped peaks like Nanga Parbat.

At the same time, Gilgit Airport has a rocky mountain straight ahead of the runway which involves an additional expertise to land and takeoff.
